First Day of School 2018-2019

I have something to share with you.

I know we are all excited for school to start. My mom loves first day of school pictures. I mean she goes crazy about them. She takes photos of me, my friends, my school, she even decorates the breakfast table. My mom always needs a good first day of school sign. So if you need one just look right down there!

First Day of School Printables-2016

I have something to share with you.

It’s that time again.  Getting back into a routine with the start of a new school year.  Our first day of school is in one week.  And I was recently reminded (by my friend’s husband) that I needed to print out (or at least email) a First Day of School sign to his wife for their kids!!  Ask and you shall receive!!

ipad_schoolideasBelow are a bunch of links to sites I like with signs AND interviews to print (and frame) before school starts or click the image to visit my Pinterest board for links to those and more!  If you like this post, don’t forget to Follow our Facebook Page!!

The Perfect Business Travel Gift for Kids

I have something to share with you.

Here’s an idea for those of you getting forward to start another fun year of work travel! When I started traveling for business over 5 years ago, I knew I wanted to bring home a gift for my daughter after each trip.  After all, I remember my dad doing that.  I mentioned it to one of my colleagues during my first trip away and he shared with me a great idea.

Kids love getting something when a parent returns home.  Parents like something that is inexpensive and can fit into their briefcase or suitcase easily.  And if it can be educational, it is at the top of the list.  So, what can you buy that is inexpensive, fits easily into a briefcase or suitcase and can be educational?  Think about the airport gift shop and bypass all the t-shirts(they will grow out of those in a year).

Over the years I have brought home postcards from all the cities I visit and I try to make sure they have special landmarks from each city. Sometimes it has a college, or a sports team. When we go on vacation, we add to the collection.

Now that my daughter is in elementary school, she will soon learn about cities and states and countries and this will be a great way for her to see pictures and ask me about the different places.  All you need is a photo album at home that will hold 5×7 photos!

After you land, grab a $1, take 3 minutes to stop and grab a postcard!
