Update: The Crease (Doesn’t) Looks Bad (Anymore)

I have something to share with you.

A few weeks ago I posted about my inability to apply eye liner and shadow without having it bleed all over my eyelids.  I am happy to share that I received recommendations from some friends on Facebook and it has made a world of difference.

Laura Mercier Eye Basics

So what did you recommend?

laura-eyeprimerI bought Laura Mercier’s Eye Basics since I am already using their caviar sticks and love the color options.  I chose the Linen color so I could use it as a base and have it help brighten my eyes!  Thanks for the help!  Now I can learn how to do a smoky eye…any advice??

Update: All about the Eyes

I have something to share with you.

Back in April 2014, I posted about my search for the perfect eye cream.  I am happy to report that I received lots of feedback from various people on Facebook and have finally made my purchase.

I had tried glow by dr. brandt™ revitalizing retinol eye creamDr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum and philosophy Time In A Bottle™ For Eyes.  There was one I liked but I thought I would ask some other ladies through Facebook and other social media sites.

So what did you recommend?

drgrossI chose the Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Ferulic + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum.  One reason being I could purchase it easily at Sephora or Nordstrom.  I also liked the bottle and how I could control how much product I would use, I could layer it with an eye cream to moisturize the area and the price point was great. My plan is to give it a few months and see how I do – appreciate the recommendations if this one doesn’t work out!

ISO – fabulous eye cream

I have something to share with you.

eyecreamI am in search of the perfect eye cream.  I need something for firmness(getting some bags), dark circles(5 hours of sleep is a luxury), wrinkles(yup, those too) and overall anti-aging(yes, I am now 40).   If you have read any of my other Beauty posts, you know I have been on the search during the past year for a new moisturizer and night cream, a gentle face wash, anti-aging treatments and whether the Clarisonic was as special as I hear.

So, do I go to beauty store like Sephora or Ulta or do I head to Nordstroms, Macy’s or a local department store beauty counter and ask for “advice” there?  What eye cream do you use?

I decided to ask some friends those questions…..some like the beauty store route because the team works with all the product lines and don’t normally push one specific line, they offer a frequent shopper program, and you can always find them all over the country for a just in case moment.  Others liked the department store route since they could accomplish more than just shopping for beauty products(think clothes, shoes and kid stuff) and once they found a line or three that they loved, they had a relationship with a knowledgeable sales person that could help them with purchases and let them know about upcoming special deals.  The most interesting answer…many of them don’t use eye cream at all.

So please help.  Leave a comment for me on your favorite eye cream and let me know where you shop!
