Hotel: Courtyard Dayton Beavercreek
Would I stay again? Yes. It was clean, convenient to where I needed to be and if I needed to be there longer, there was shopping and restaurants close by. Unfortunately I was not very productive once I made it there after dinner due to the time change and the lack of sleep from the night before.
Dinner: Mamma DiSalvo’s
Would I dine again? Yes. My client recommended Mamma Disalvo’s when I asked for a great local spot. The food and service were both great and I would not hesitate to send friends here!
Manicotti Al Forno
Lunch: City Barbeque
Would I dine again? No. I hate to say that I would not go back but I have eaten BBQ in North Carolina, Kansas City and in Texas where I live so I was a bit disappointed. But the place was packed so it must be one of the better options.
Brisket and Sausage with Mac and Cheese and Cole Slaw
CIty Barbeque in Beavercreek
Hotel: Aloft Newport on the Levee
Would I stay again? Yes. The hotel is on the Kentucky side of the river but very convenient to downtown Cincinnati and downtown Covington restaurants.
Lunch (Dayton): George’s Family Restaurant
Would I dine again? No. Well, if I was close, sure since it was a local family “diner” with nice people but not a real food experience.
Chicken and Waffles
Dinner: Hofbräuhaus Newport
Would I dine again? Yes. We walked across the street from the hotel due to snow and the late hour and listened to the band and had a good meal.
Braised Classic Pork Shank
Lunch: Frida 602
Would I dine again? Yes. I have been here multiple times and if I am headed to the Cinci airport, this is my stop. This time I called in my order on the way to the airport and after getting a text from American Airlines that I was delayed, I took my to-go box, sat at the bar and ate. Brussel sprout tacos..you cannot go wrong!
