Hotel: Fairfield Inn & Suites Detroit Troy
Would I stay again? Maybe. I normally stay in Southfield but based on my client’s office location, I decided to stay in this area. The hotel was a standard Fairfield.

Lunch: Ima
Would I dine again? Yes. Read Eater and saw that Ima had opened close to my hotel so a quick ride from the airport and I had a good, casual lunch while I prepped for my meeting.
Dinner: Mabel Gray
Would I dine again? Yes. Yes again. They offer a tasting menu for $65 and as a solo diner, it is the best experience to sit at the bar and try numerous items. I ate, I read a book and I had a couple short conversations. I would return often if I lived here. If you visit, they are closed on Mondays so plan accordingly.
Lunch: Cantoro Italian Market & Trattoria
Would I dine again? No. Not as a solo diner. The food was good but lunch was super quiet, the restaurant was not busy and it would probably be better for a dinner with the family if I lived there.
