I have something to share with you.
I remember having a conversation with my dear friend Michelle about relationships and she shared with me a great book that had been recommended to her. Recently I saw a clip on Facebook where two pastors referred to this book as a great read for those married or in a relationship….The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love that Lasts.
I downloaded this to my Kindle back in 2012 and I remember recommending it to other friends once I finished it. It educates you on what the author believes are the 5 primary love languages and how to identify what your partners language is and how to “speak” that language.
So what are they?
- quality time
- words of affirmation
- gifts
- acts of service
- physical touch
So think about the five languages above and decide….what language do you “speak”, what language does your partner “speak” AND have you learned to “speak” their language and have they learned to “speak” yours?
