I have something to share with you.
It’s a Saturday night, no babysitter and I’m too tired to cook. That means we are going out for dinner. We have our favorite spots close to home but since we were out running errands I did a quick Yelp search and found La Comida. It’s in Village on the Parkway near Beltline and the Tollway.
They have only been open for a little over two months so it was quiet when we arrived but the place started to liven up within the next 40 minutes. La Comida has a good menu and offers some options for children. We started with guacamole and my husband and I each ordered a taco plate. I opted for slow cooked pulled pork and brisket with onions, peppers and cheese and found both to be delicious. The pork was served with pickled onions and lime and the brisket had a fantastic barbecue sauce with it, something I have never had in a Mexican restaurant. I also ordered refried black beans and elote, mexican corn sprinkled with crema and spices! Delicious! He had the same two tacos plus a third and my daughter had a chicken taco which she enjoyed!
If you are looking for a new spot to try in North Dallas, one that is kid-friendly and has a good price point, this should be next on your list! It’s a great addition to the neighborhood.
