I have something to share with you.
I love cooking but as a working mom, time is very valuable and very limited. I kept seeing something called Ravioli Lasagna on Pinterest and decided it was time to try it myself. I love italian food but there is a lot of effort required to make a “true” lasagna. If I analyze the time it would take, it makes a lot more sense to go out for a great Italian dinner. But for a quick dinner that I can do with my daughter, this may be perfect!
I started with the basics…frozen ravioli, homemade meat sauce and shredded mozzarella. The directions were easy. Sauce first(I used a new jar with no meat), then a layer of ravioli, then the meat(I used my homemade sauce with meat) and lots of shredded cheese. Then more ravioli with just sauce and cheese on top. Cover and bake in the oven for 50 minutes at 350.
My husband came home, saw it in the oven and immediately decided it would be terrible. I had higher hopes. My daughter thought it would be fantastic…after all it was pasta and cheese! The result…surprisingly good and super easy. Next time I will use more ravioli to create a “thicker” layer of pasta and cheese but this is definitely something I will make when I need a quick dinner for the family!
